I like to start my classes by quickly recapping what we did last week and checking to make sure students have understood those concepts before I add anything new to their knowledge. Once I’m sure they’re confident on what we did last week, I’ll summarise what we’re going to be looking at in the lecture, how this might relate to any assessments they have coming up, and how this relates to the other classes we might have during the week like seminars and tutorials. Then I’ll dive right in with the content!
