for me our skills allow me to work with a range of people wether this in a group or a one to one basis. Also, I get to work in a range of settings, for example, University, Prison, Health Service, Charity and out in the wider community to name a few, We are trained how to help people change their behaviour using science.
Health psychologists are specialists in behaviour change. We’re the only type of psychologist that can help people who want to exercise, eat healthier, stop smoking, etc., do so in a way that is based on research. In our modern world, most of the diseases people experience are due (at least in part) to behaviour, so health psychologists are really important in helping people to live happier and healthier lives.
I think some group sessions can work better than individual sessions. We know helping to beat addiction to alcohol is effective in group settings because of empowerment when people share their struggles. I did some in the prison and that was pretty fun for prisoners but some preferred one to one sessions.

That’s really interesting! Aswell as this, how effective do you think the group sessions are compared to the one on one?
