Question: What is the reaction of the people you help?
Emily Mattacola answered on 14 Nov 2019:
Hopefully positive! One project I’m working on at the moment is a programme to help women who have chronic pain conditions to adjust and to live better. Something that’s really important when you’re doing a programme like this is to talk to the people who will be using the service as you’re designing it, to make sure that what you’re thinking of doing matches their needs. We’re in this phase at the moment, and all of the women I’ve spoken to about the programme have been really positive about the need for the programme and what we’re intending to do. That’s really encouraging, as hopefully it means we’ll get lots of interested participants during the next part of the research when we test out the programme.
