      I thinkn that the research could directly benefit the health and welfare teenagers in India by improving the health and productivity of the wider population.

      Depression and anxiety disorders are two of the top 10 causes of years lost due to disability worldwide.

      Depression during adolescence may contribute to the risk of suicide – self-harm or suicide is the now second leading cause of death globally for young women, and the leading cause for young women in India.

      We hope to get some answers to the question: what are factors may lead to poor adolescent mental health in the India? IF we can start to understand the problem better, we may be able to come up with treatments or prevention programs
